We have introduced 3D imaging equipment (3D/4D echo), which allows us to see a stereoscopic image of the baby in addition to the conventional ultrasound test. The machine clearly visualizes not only the baby’s face, hands and legs in the womb but also its motion (4D ultrasonic). The director of our clinic is a specialist in diagnosis of fetal illness or birth defects (prenatal diagnosis); therefore he offers stereoscopic diagnosis, with no extra time taken, as well as a conventional ultrasound test in a regular checkup.
The 16th to 32nd weeks of pregnancy provide good images. (However, this depends on the baby’s position and orientation). We ideally perform a 4D ultrasound test for a patient who is taking a prenatal checkup with us. The charge of a 4D ultrasonic test in that case is free (including in the charge of the prenatal checkup). (We don’t perform deliveries.)
If you are taking prenatal checkups at other hospitals and would like to take our 4D ultrasound test only, please make an appointment for the test. It costs 8,000 yen per test (at your own expense). However, it doesn’t include any fetal diagnostic checks. Please note that the purpose of this is only to enjoy observing the image of fetus. (Please understand that you may not be able to book an appointment at the time you desire because the prenatal check patients with us have priority to book appointments.)
